Isaiah 35- Meet Jesus Christ the Intercessor

“Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Christ made a covenant with God in eternity. He made a promise that He would fight our battles for us and intercede for us. Hebrews 7 and 8 tells us that “Jesus Christ has an unchangeable Priesthood and that He lives to make intercession for us; He is on the right hand of God Himself.”

The kind of intercession that Isaiah 53 is talking about means: “TO COME BETWEEN WITH VIOLENCE.”

That’s right! Jesus is standing in between you and your trouble and He is doing it with violent force to protect and rescue you. He is tireless in His quest to provide for you and defend you. No matter what you do, He will never stop loving you. He is fighting what fights you right now and He is doing it with a Violent Force! Be encouraged, He always wins!

2 Corinthians 4:7-9  "...but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.  We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed."

Stories of Glory from the Common Ground Retreat
In Santa Barbara, California

"I really enjoyed the music.  I wait all year to hear that sweet sound!  The teaching was amazing and deep.  I loved the relationship that was made between sheep and goats in the Beatitudes.  I don't want to be a goat anymore!"

"I had some generational curses on my life from my childhood and my upbringing,  This weekend, the Lord removed all of them and I am free!"

"I drive a bus for a living and it's been hard with a bad back that has me in pain all the time.   I was completely healed this weekend."

"I came as a goat and I'm leaving as a lamb.  I've had migraines for 23 years and had one when I came.  I am totally healed.  When Rick Alonzo performed his art to the Lord, I felt a tension leave my back and neck and have been well ever since.  Praise Jesus!"

"The 'goat vs. lamb' stuff was hilarious and insightful at the same time.   I have never had so much fun in church.  It was my first retreat and now I'm hooked.  My wife usually comes with her girlfriends, but this year I wanted to come. I'm glad I did.  When I got up to priase the Lord, my foot was totally healed during the worship.  I have had to wear a brace for years and I left it in my room for the maid and walked out!  It was my private 'miracle' and I didn't even want to share it because it was so personal, but I thought it might bless you."

"I really enjoyed the facility and I enjoyed worshipping with my Abba's Heart 'family.'  I look forward to that every year!  The teaching was deep and appreciated.  I went to my room Saturday afternoon and studied further and loved how the Lord really opened Scripture up to me."

I Timothy 3:16
Without is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in
the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

“Procrastination is like a credit card: It’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.” Christopher Parker

Thanks for your abounding support of the Crusades to bring America back to the Lord. When I sent the letter out to a few of you last month, I didn’t tell you the gravity of the financial need to produce these crusades. But, it appears I didn’t need to. The Lord has moved mightily upon your heart and I thank you for your obedience. Within two weeks, $15,000 came in, which is enough to make a dent in what we are trying to do; but we need to do more.

We want to keep going so, to participate, send some “love” in the envelope provided, we will get the job done on your behalf. Please continue to seek the Lord for the Hunger to Hope Crusades, for as we go forward to win the lost and take the compromise out of Christianity; it will take heart, finance and perseverance. Jesus is doing it, thank you for being a part of that.

Easter Everday –
A continual reminder that He Has Risen!

From the Greek Orthodox Bulletin, March 20th Liturgy, The Church of the Archangels, Watertown, Massachusetts, submitted by my good friend, Lizzie Katsaras.

"We have a simple thought for you....The power of a simple nail. Try this: Take a simple, household nail, one, however, that you will never use for the purpose that it was intended. It will never join 2 pieces of wood or hold a picture to a wall. Keep it in your pocket or purse where you will occaisonally find it while looking for some change or for your keys. This nail will never be hammered by you--- we don't think any of us could do it--- not this particular nail. This nail, instead, will serve as a reminder each time you see it, each time you find it again. If you ever doubt your worth or value-- or doubt that you are loved--- hold this nail for a moment and reflect: God so loved the world that He sent His only Son to die for us. No matter how much you hurt or how much you suffer, you are loved. Do not forget that. Jesus was held to the cross not by nails-- but by love...."
