Ministry Reports from Arizona and Nevada
No-one knew they were in the middle of filing divorce papers. They thought they were the only ones with the information. They would soon find out that God also knew! She got in the prayer line for the healing of her back. God spoke to her and asked her why she was walking away from the gift He had given her. God said, "Don't walk away from him and the covenant you made with him in my sight, the good times are right ahead. Don't throw it all away, I'm with you and will help you. Let me.........." Her husband, soon to be ex, ran to her side. They cried, embraced and rejoiced. It was like a cloud of deceit and anger had lifted off of them. They never knew where it came from and didn't know where it went. But, they said, it was gone. I've just received news from their pastor that they are totally restored, cancelled the divorce proceedings and are walking around acting like honeymooners! We serve the Redeemer.
The saints are realizing that just because they are not an athiest, doesn't necessarily mean that they are a powerful Christian. They embraced who Jesus was and also understood what He was not (because they had not allowed Him to be) in their lives.
One woman was told that she was playing with fire and that she had better stop it or she would lose everything. Evidently, she had been having an affair with a married man. She confessed her sin. Her husband has forgiven her. We pray for restoration that comes from a man allowing the love of Jesus to move through him. Such forgiveness.
A woman had cancer, the Lord came to her in her chair and miraculously healed her. The lady sitting next to her also had cancer and wondered why she didn't receive her healing she told me later. We prayed and there it was. A root of bitterness against her Mother that she had carried for many years. Root gone, cancer left. She walked away without her tumor and without her pain, inside or outside! Sickness is not always caused by an attitude or condiiton of the heart. But, in her case it was. Jesus is always going after "the better deal!"
One lady hadn't told anyone she was pregnant because she was afraid of losing the baby (she said later she had 4 miscarriages.) At the altar, the Lord told EVERYBODY and then told her that she wouldn't lose this baby and to not walk in fear, but trust! Her husband, I think, was the happiest man on the earth that night!
The Lord told one man "that he would NOT be healed, but that the Lord was bringing him home. Prepare his house and go in peace!" He said later that he felt he was supposed to "go" but everyone kept praying healing on him and he felt like he was a bad person and had no faith because he just couldn't believe to be healed. He said it just wasn't "in him."
Well, white-haired Archie, is bound for glory now. I heard this week that they were giving him going away parties and everyone was at peace. What a perfect way to go. He called yesterday to say "Good-Bye, see you on the other side my dear friend." He also told me that the Lord had taken away all his pain. What a privilege it will be to see him "over yonder."
The Lord told a woman who was barren that she would have children before the year is out. She called today and she is pregnant. What a big God we serve.
The Lord told a teenager that he would be a businessman and provide income for missionaries. The Lord encouraged him to not forget his call when the money started rolling in. The boy jumped with joy. He said that he was so confused earlier because he had such a concern for missionaries, and everyone had been telling him that it was probably because he was suppossed to be one. He didn't want to be a missionary, but couldn't get rid of the concern he has for the mission field and the missionaries that go. This totally set this boy free, as you can imagine. I don't think they'll ever be anyone more happy to write checks to missionaries than this boy. Knowing how badly he did not want to "go!"
Our Lord doesn't have to come with such reality, but He chooses to. It just blows me away. I don't know why this stuff is so amazing, after all, we serve the living God who created all things. But yet, when He shows up in our front yard like He does, somehow we are surprised! Go figure!
