I started working for Abba's Heart in June of 2002. I had been working in a daycare and asking God for a job more suited to my abilities.  Meanwhile, Sandi was looking to hire someone to work in the office, and a mutual friend knew all this, and I don’t really know the details, but here I am!

I’m here every day.  I get to manage the website, printed materials, audio messages, and many other things that need to be done.

My most important job, though, is being Eric’s mom.  Now that he’s fifteen, we’re in the whole world of high school.  He keeps busy with the worship team and youth bands at church where he plays guitar or
bass, and involved with youth group.  He spends as much time as he can with his friends.

For the 2010-11 school year we are hosting an Exchange Student from Tajikistan.  I love having a "daughter and all the cultural richness she adds to our lives.  Parvina is 16 and a senior at Kingsburg High.

I grew up in a Christian home as the oldest of five children.  When I was nine, I had read a book in which the main character, Joy, had accepted Christ. I told my mom that I wanted to do that too, and she showed me the way.  Each year when I went to camp, I would listen to the speaker and wonder if I was really a Christian, and I don't know how many times I "accepted" Christ. Even in high school, I was still walking down aisles looking for assurance. When I was nineteen we had a revival week at church, and I finally realized that how I felt wasn't the issue. The fact was that my sins were forgiven and I was a child of God.

I’ve had my share of trials and tests, and they’ve all brought me to where I am now, so I praise God for them.  It is such a blessing to work here and be able to work around Eric’s schedule, being close to home and his school, doing work I enjoy and having the opportunity to learn so many new things.  God is good to me.
