Note from Sandi
The Lord continues to do amazing things among His people! Are you "among His people?" How can you tell if you are a "His people" or that you are among them? Daniel 11:32 "... but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." Every blessing to you as you pursue Jesus with all you have this year and always.
"Let it begin in 2010!"
Donny Update
More pictures online! We had a wonderful Christmas and that fat grandbaby... oh my goodness, well, ya just have to see! Donny hasn't had the strength to open a Christmas present for a couple years and hasn't been home for three, so it was a special joy to see him "go at it" with the rest of 'em. He continues to need strength in his body and air in his lungs in order to move, so we appreciate your prayers! He has been bed-ridden for five weeks. BUT, we joy in the promises of God and rejoice to see the small yet everlasting progress.
“You have been a big blessing in helping us keep the hospital and ambulance co-pays down and now with all the expenses for Donny's rehabilitation. We thank you for that!”

Stories of Glory
"He came in to the building as a decidedly broken man. Crying. A lot of crying. His wife didn't just leave him, but left him in a mess. As I looked at him from across the building, it was evident that his heart was breaking. He was a professional looking man, whose composure was destroyed. After prayer, he told me his name and told me his story. He was ready to kill himself and was on the road to go find an empty parking lot somewhere. He came to our parking lot, thinking he would go to the liquor store to get some "help" in the task and then continue on his journey for an empty spot. While walking into the liquor store, he heard shouting. Shouting on a Friday night. He was drawn closer and then he realized that is wasn't shouting, it was rejoicing. He does not know how he got over to the building. But, before he opened the door, someone opened it for him and grabbed his hand and said, "Welcome Home Brother!" and ushered him in. He said the minute he came in, he began to weep and couldn't stop. He was brought back to life that night. I hear from him now and although his wife is still gone... he is no longer alone, he has the Lord! He moved out of town, is running a large company and has a happy heart. He is plugged into a church and doing very, very well. The shouting, the blessed shouting to the Lord for His great goodness!"
"She was crippled from birth. That foot just wouldn't work. I didn't notice it at the altar; seems I don't look down much. Anyway, after prayer she started jumping and leaping and I thought to myself, "Wow, the Lord really touched her heart... that is great." Come to find out, He really touched her foot. She said it was on fire! She leaped and jumped for quite awhile and the Lord totally healed her foot, she walked out completely whole and besides that, she went to the doctor that week and discovered that her diabetes was completely gone. There were other things she said, and in the excitement, I just can't remember, but basically, she got a total overhaul. What God does when we aren't even looking is AMAZING."
May we always praise the Lord for who He is along with what He does. Be blessed especially good this week.
“We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your Name is near; men tell of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 75:1
Single on Valentine's Day?
Whether you are intentionally single on Valentine's Day or you have recently ended a relationship, there are plenty of fun and entertaining ways to spend your Valentine's Day. Perhaps the most important thing to remember is that it's not all about the candy, cards, and flowers that bombard us all in the retail world.
If you would like to make Valentine's Day special for someone else – perhaps even a stranger – there are plenty of options. One suggestion is to send roses to yourself at work with a blank card. This will be entertaining and puzzling to your office-mates, and on the way home you can distribute a single rose to people that you pass who look like they could use the pick-me-up. After all, sometimes the best joy is that of giving happiness to others.
If you have the evening free, call a local hospital or nursing home to find out if there's a patient who doesn't have family visiting frequently and drop in to wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day complete with flowers or a goodie basket. This might turn out to be the most rewarding day of your life. If you choose this route, be sure to have some tissues as it could turn into a teary experience for both of you.
If you'd rather just spend some time on yourself, why not schedule a hair and nail appointment at your favorite salon? Or consider getting a massage or other spa treatment that you have been holding off on for whatever reason? Then treat yourself (and maybe a friend!) to dinner at your favorite fancy restaurant.
There's no shame in being single on Valentine's Day!
One of the most preferred activities among singles is getting together with friends for dinner and a movie. Why not schedule something like this for February 14 too? Your single friends will appreciate the time out, and so will you.
It is so important to remember that you are defined by who YOU are, and not who you are dating (or not dating!). It's OK to forego the traditional commercial sentiments of romance associated with February 14! And most importantly, if you are single this year due to a recent loss of a loved one it’s ok to admit to your family and friends that it's a rough day for you – ask for their support and they will be there for you.
Valentines Day is a commercialized holiday – to the retailers it's about hearts and flowers (and dollar signs). Consider yourself lucky if you don't have to participate in that madness.

Acquire the Fire
Those who wish to attend Acquire the Fire in Fresno on March 5-6 with our group need to get registered as soon as possible. Contact Valerie Hudson to let her know you are coming. The price is $47.00 now, but it goes up as the event gets closer.
Foundations of Faith
The Foundations of Faith class is being offered in January. The class meets on Thursday nights and is a great opportunity to learn, or get refreshed on, the basics of Christianity. It will be offered quarterly. Since this is the first time for the class, all Revival Center meetings that normally happen on Thursdays have been cancelled so that everyone will be able to participate. The classes in April, July, October, and thereafter will be primarily for new attenders and new believers, though everyone is welcome.
Valentine’s Banquet
There will be a Valentine’s Banquet on February 13 for married couples. A brief and fun session will be taught at the banquet instead of the entire Love Alliance Marriage Enrichment course. The banquet cost is $100.00 per couple. If you plan to attend, let Jessica Luper know by February 7. You may also register online:

Queen Camp!
Queen Camp 2009 was amazing! We have opened registration for 2010. The cost is $395.00 per person, and a non-refundable $50 deposit will hold your spot.
We are anticipating a very special time again at the beautiful Tenaya Lodge. It is such a blessing to worship the Creator in the midst of all the natural wonder of that area. As always, the retreat will be filled with worship, life-changing messages from God’s Word, powerful prayer times, fun, great food, plentiful chocolate, and amazing interaction with godly women. Spend Saturday afternoon in a cozy fireplace area, getting pampered in the spa, riding horses, hiking, soaking in the jacuzzi, or enjoying a long, snoozy nap. Maybe you will be the Queen for a Day and get all the great benefits that go with that. For those building a library of Christian resources, we will have some inspiring books for sale, as well as your favorites.
Register early and start making payments of $50 a month so that you won’t have the “I Can’t Afford It Blues” on October 5 when the full amount is due.
To register online, visit www.abbasheart.com/registrations.asp, or you can call Dora in the ministry office at 559-897-9575, Mondays-Wednesdays.
