As our boy, Donny continues to gain strength and we prepare for his arrival home next month, we are overcome with grateful hearts toward you who have walked with us; the road was made smooth because of your prayers and easy to walk because of your financial help! Even last week, as I was rushing him to the hospital ER because he couldn't breathe, the Lord was going before us.
The Psalmist whispered in Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple." May each of us finding our "one thing" in the hands and heart of the Lord. May our "one thing" be the thing that pleases the Lord. May our "one thing" be what we look like as we are consumed by the very desires of Jesus. May our "one thing" look amazing to the world as we prefer our Lord over all other things as a flaming testimony to them who are without hope. In essence, may Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God, be our "One Thing!"

Counselor Training
We have a group of 13 adults enrolled in an extensive 15-week accredited counseling course. They will be trained to help in many situations as the Lord brings the lost and hurting to our doors. Keep them in your prayers.
Spiritual Body Builders
Your chapters for September have been Galatians 1-5. The first Monday in October, start reading Galatians 6 and Ephesians 1-4. If you would like to be a Spiritual Body Builder, contact our office for a brochure with instructions, or download it by going to the link below. Recordings of many of the discussions are available in the Audio/Video Media System.

If you save a whole slew of shoeboxes because you just KNOW your child will need one for a school project, but they never do, and you finally decide to de-clutter and throw them all out, then you can be sure that within seven days, your child will need a shoebox for a school project.
(Though, it should be noted that this is a perfectly reasonable excuse to buy a new pair of shoes. It is not frivolity, it is good parenting.)
