God has been at work around us:

“I brought my son into a crusade meeting and he left healed.  He has had Lymphoma.  The cancer specialist didn’t give any hope.  He has not been responding to any treatments positively.  My friend in Florida told me I should trust the Lord to heal him.  But I couldn’t.  I didn’t know about those things and never went to church.  But, she said she’d meet me in California and God would do what was perfect for my son.  I did not have the faith to stand, so I flew there to ride on someone else’s faith and, well, I just wanted to say thank you.  I’m attending a church now and will live my life praising this God who loved me when I didn’t even know Him.  One of the reasons that He gave His son was so I could keep mine.”                         Elaine C., Portland, Oregon

Optimism
A family had twin boys whose only resemblance to each other was their looks. If one felt it was too hot, the other thought it was too cold.  If one said the TV was too loud, the other claimed the volume needed to be turned up. Opposite in every way, one was an eternal optimist, the other a doom and gloom pessimist.

Just to see what would happen, on the twins' birthday, their father loaded the pessimist's room with every imaginable toy and game. The optimist's room, he loaded with horse manure.

That night the father passed by the pessimist's room and found him sitting amid his new gifts crying bitterly.

"Why are you crying?" the father asked.

"Because my friends will be jealous, I'll have to read the all these instructions before I can do anything with this stuff, I'll constantly need batteries, and my toys will eventually get broken." answered the pessimistic twin.

Passing the optimistic twin's room, the father found him dancing for joy in the pile of manure. "What are you so happy about?" he asked.

To which his optimistic twin replied, "There's got to be a pony in here somewhere!"

Note from Sandi

As Job said, “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.”  In all of life, if we can bless the Lord in the land of “whatever happens,” then our fellowship with him will not be at risk based upon our circumstances or the situations that surround us.  Our faith cannot be contingent upon our fears.  Offer the things you are afraid to lose up to the Lord and count Him worthy to receive them.  How?  It seems stupid and common but true…… read the word of God like you never have and you will find a faith rise up in you that the Lord can accomplish anything through.  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God……”  Your Spirit is waiting to hear the good news so that you soul may apply it to your life!  Peace and blessings as you go.
