Welcome to the Abba’s Heart eBeat, the monthly eNews from Abba’s Heart Ministries. Read on to be informed and inspired about what God is doing.
Note from Sandi
Let's remember that during this time of year, we should not celebrate Halloween, but expose and destroy it. Instead of Hay Rides and Costume Parties, we should be praying against the evil that lurks and looms, attempting to gain ground. This is a "High Holiday" for the enemy. All the ex-satanists I've counseled, and had the privilege of watching the Lord bring into freedom, say the same thing... "the Christians think it's God's holiday that we perverted, it's not. It is ours." It comes from the Druidic holiday of Saween. Some saints are confused thinking it is a perversion of "All Saints Day." It is not. All Saints Day was originally scheduled for November and then moved to May to honor the Martyrs of the Christian Faith. This holiday should be a national holiday and it is slowly being diminished. Halloween should be spent praying for the lost, the hurting and the many children that lose their lives from August to November in honor of Halloween in satanic ritual. I know it's tough to wrap your mind around it, but the truth is that the devil has a religion too and he and his followers are very dedicated to it. To celebrate Halloween, I suggest that you watch the movie by Jeremiah Films, "Halloween: Trick or Treat" it is part of the Pagan Invasion series. When our children were home we always prayed for those who will be hurt to escape their pain, condemn the enemy in the name of Jesus and take back the ground he stole. We would worship and praise the Lord in our little back bedroom where the door bell couldn't bother us. Then we would have as much pizza and candy as we could stand and watch old movies. We would spend the night celebrating the good things the Lord would do! (We will do this this year also at the Revival Center on the last Wednesday night of October, along with showing this that exposes Halloween). The next day I always kept them out of school to go and buy something new to finish off the celebration. Make your own traditions, but be sure they don't glorify Halloween. It's okay to have an "alternative" for the kids, but be sure that the alternative is a powerful force of God and not some stupid game that imitates what the enemy is doing. Some celebrate the Harvest.......... celebrate it all year round. Whatever you choose to do on that day, don't blind yourself by looking the other way. Fight, win and then celebrate!
GOD BLESS THE PARENTS WHO DRUGGED US The other day, a friend of mine read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question.
"Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?"
I replied I had a drug problem when I was young: I was drug to church on Sunday morning. I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.
I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults. I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.
I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity.
I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flowerbeds and cocklebur's out of dad's fields.
I was drug to the homes of family, friends and neighbors to help out some poor soul, who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.
Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place.
God bless the parents who drugged us. Author Unknown
