God has been at work around us: 

When I think of the hurting and hopeless people who venture through the doors of the little work in Clovis, CA, I cannot help but stop and shake my head in wonder and awe at the Holy Spirit who would draw them there.  They have no reason to come really; we command a changed life unto God if you want to take up space in there.  Surely, it is the Lord Jesus who calls them and His Holy Spirit who draws them.  Our job is to simply stay out of the way.  We have been required to lay a strict mandate of purity and honor unto God so foolishness will not reign, but rather the power of God.  Even the deranged, emotionally unstable and addicted come in and understand that.  They lay it all down at the foot of the cross and shout that “God is Holy and yet He has chosen to love me, even me!” I am privileged to see it and tremble with fear at the thought of touching it.

Communication
Each evening bird lover Raju stood in his backyard, hooting like an owl - and one night, an owl finally called back to him.

For a year, the man and his feathered friend hooted back and forth.  He even kept a log of the "conversation."

Just as he thought he was on the verge of a breakthrough in interspecies communication, his wife had a chat with her next door neighbor.

"My husband spends his nights calling out to owls," she said.

"That's odd," the neighbor replied.  "So does my husband."

          I am continually amazed at the fullness of the Lord in His word and in our lives.  I suppose I shouldn’t be.  He is God and He said He would be faithful and never leave us. 

            All in the same four-month period our daughter was married and moved away, our son received Leukemia as a gift and now his wedding is in just a few weeks.  The financial devastation of the Leukemia has left a wide path behind it: Over $92,000 was not covered by the insurance.  But, “Faithful” is the word that will not go away and it is a word that describes our Lord Jesus.  The finance hasn’t come, but the peace of God has and it is a tangible thing right from heaven.  When the situations of change, sickness and financial distress should be overwhelming us, instead, the Peace of God has become an overwhelming force.  What an amazing God that He would bring such peace while favor is working on giving way to finance.  Remember, God intends to fix EVERYTHING; not just a few things, but everything.  He does not take us down a road to rescue our hands and leave our feet behind.  Count on it.  No matter how it looks today, He has a plan for tomorrow that will cause today to make sense and even look beautiful!

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”   And so it is!
