God has been at work around us:
“I was scared to death sitting in my chair, waiting.  Waiting for what I don’t even know.  Scared of what I don’t know.  But, the minute I walked in the door, I was not afraid, but scared.  I don’t know if that makes any sense.  I just know that I had been wanting to come to a meeting for a long time and did not know what to expect.  I heard things; things about God that seemed untrue and unbelievable.  But, God IS God I thought, so I would go to find out for myself.
I was confronted with myself and that was the worst nightmare of my life!  The purity and wonderful peace that surrounds God, when you really see Him and watch Him move upon people levels you to a low and humble place.  Nobody condemned me and certainly God did not, but my own life condemned me.  I thought I knew who God was and maybe I did, but I had no idea of the price Jesus paid until I walked in that place.  I was the one who ran to the altar.  You caught me and He saved me.  Thanks for keeping the doors open so a “church guy” like me can find his way home to the cross.”

Merry Christmas from the Revival Center
Come, celebrate with us the Day Before Christmas at 11:00 am

We are looking forward to moving into a new building in the Springtime.  We are working all the details out now.  If you would like to bless the Revival Center ministry, there is a building fund set up on our website.  Go to GET BLESSED from www.abbasheart.com.

The gift of Christmas
It is time to refresh our Christmas giving with a truth from Scripture deeply imbedded into our consciousness from hundreds of repetitions at church offerings: "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7; NIV).
God gave, not reluctantly or because He was forced by popular opinion, but because He loved.  Nor was His choice of Gift an optional trinket for the "man who has everything." He gave the only possession that we don't have and really need.  He gave Himself--a costly Gift in the extreme, so expensive that many reject the Gift because of the obligation they know they incur upon acceptance.   (Excerpted from joyfulheart.com)

Note from Sandi
Rejoicing, Busy, Joyful, Busy, Thankful, Busy, Praising, Busy, Bible time, Busy!  I guess that’s how it goes in December.  When I wake up early to Rejoice, the Busy butts in.  When I try to walk in a Joyful state, the Busy butts in, when I bow my head to be thankful, it is lifted up because the busy butts in… and so on and so on goes each day, blending in to the next, forming weeks which make up months of busy butting in!  So, last week I decided that this has got to stop before a sick little habit is formed of letting busy butt in.  So, Mr. Busy got escorted out last week and things are better now.  How did I get him to leave?  First I had to realize that he was there.  He rarely announces his arrival and hides to secure it.  So, ask yourself who has got your time and if it’s not the Lord, then Mr. Busy is probably being busy with you.  I took inventory of my time and I realized that I had a lot of plans to sit and ponder God, but was walking away for an “urgent” task and never revisited that moment.  It is hard when people are sick and they need you and deadlines are shouting and people have needs, but remember to put the Lord’s desire for you first and busy won’t happen anymore… only glory!

As Paul, more or less, told Timothy:
It is true, every time I think of you I rejoice and am glad… and decidedly not too busy anymore to thank God for you!
Much love and every blessing.  Sandi

Donny Update ...
As the Lord said in the Garden of Gethsamane, "Not my Will Father, but thine..." we find ourselves walking that Garden path, taking comfort in the fact that the Lord finished the walk up Calvary's hill to find a tree waiting for him... the everlasting cross.

And so it is with mankind; we must walk out the commitments we make in the Garden by allowing the Lord to take them to Calvary.  We have had our Garden moments and so now, we trust the Lord's steadfast steps to Calvary

Our son, Donny, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in September continues to remain in remission, but now he is striving to "endure the cure" and it is a long and hard journey.  He will walk the path of God's choice for healing until mid-March and then these days will be a memory.  I ponder these things and know that a miracle would have been easier for God to give, but He chose, very much on purpose, a different way; so we yield to that with gladness.

As we speak today, he is back in the hospital, believing what the Lord has said is true.  It is everyone's journey, but especially today, it is his.  We rejoice in knowing that God never tires of building people and He is not tired today.  We all are trusting the Lord, knowing He is faithful to who He is... a sweet savior, no matter what comes and no matter what it looks like when it gets here... Jesus never leaves and is faithful beyond the end!

He will spend Christmas in the hospital and be home for New Year's and walk down the aisle for his wedding (January 6th)... of this we are sure... but in the meantime, I ask for your prayers for the strength of my boy to go where the Lord is taking him.  He loves the Lord so very much and is putty in His hand, but his body is so very tired; we are all so very tired.  So, thank you from a deep place where words fail.
