Note from Sandi

Merry Christmas to You!  What a wonderful life the Lord has given us all and how perfect that He has allowed us to live during this exciting time.  So, live life loud and to His fullest for His glory.  Never let anything abound in your life above Jesus, not anything.  Keep Christ as your focus and you will do well.  May the Lord be exalted in your life and honored by it today and always.

I thought you’d enjoy a note that Martin sent to me and the kids, it shares our hearts in the midst of the storm and my prayer is that it will encourage you as well in the midst of yours ...

“Donny, your gentle courage, patience and gentle wisdom are a wonder to me.  No eye hath seen, no ear hath heard, nor hath it entered into the hearts of men what wonders lie ahead for us in Christ.  I say that not just looking forward to our future with Him and each other in heaven.  I say it with the expectancy of David that my soul would have fainted and we would be most wretched of God’s creations if we had not expected to see His goodness in the land of the living.

I don't just look forward to enjoying you and our time together when you are well.  I love, cherish and celebrate every moment we spend together in the trenches of the struggles of this life.  Saul’s biggest mistake was that he was so worried about his son’s inheritance that he failed to enjoy what an awesome son God had given him.  So much so that he tried to kill him.  I love being with my wife, and all four of my children, right here, right now, in this moment.  This present struggle is no different than strapping our swords and armor on and going out to smite the Philistines, or any other foe that exalts himself above the knowledge of Christ.  So, son... wife, daughter, son and daughter in law... let us go up this mountain and perchance the enemy will invite us up and if he should do so, let us fall upon him and slay him for it is no big thing for our God to deliver, whether by few, or by many.  He is... He IS, faithful!”

Donny Update

We had loads of “fun” over the weekend.  In spite of all this, we look forward to our tomorrows.  They are all good because Christ is in the midst of them.  There are several complications, but none that the Lord has not already handled; so we wait!  Overall, Donny is improving.  His Spirit has never shrunk back or quivered, not for a moment, it is the power of God in a man. Thanks for holding him and us in prayer.  I know that I am walking on the top of your prayers and the living in the faithfulness of our Lord; and I am grateful.

So that our staff may spend more time with family, the ministry office in Kingsburg will be closed between December 25 and January 1. 

New Building Update

We have pictures for you if you haven’t seen them already and we are still waiting for the finance to come to finish the building along with the finalized plans so that we can go further.  We are excited about the new thing the Lord has planned and all the new people we will be able to reach for his Kingdom.  Thanks for the help.

Spiritual Body Builders

The first Monday in January, start reading Micah 1-5.  If you would like to be a Spiritual Body Builder, contact our office for a brochure with instructions, or download it by going to the link below.  Recordings of many of the discussions are available in the Audio/Video Media System.  Starting in January, the Body Builder scriptures will be the basis for the Wednesday Night Bible Study as well.

THE PRAYER OF JONAH

 Sandi’s 3^rd book was put on hold when Donny’s Leukemia returned.  She tells us that she will be attempting to finish it in the coming year, so keep her in prayer as she attempts to bring us revelation from the man in the belly of a fish! 
 
Book Update:  The Prayer of Job is now in eight different languages and has been on the “best sellers” list twice.  It is included in many Bible College curriculum courses and is a staple for many Chaplains in prisons across the country and abroad.  We receive many letters from inmates, telling of the blessings it brings to them and the deliverance they receive in its pages.  The Prayer of Moses is being used extensively in counseling settings and the Lord is using it to set people free from rejection and bring them into friendship with Jesus. There has been little advertising of these books, but somehow, the radio and television venues keep calling for interviews based on what they have heard.  Sandi has put many of these opportunities to rest on the back burner, setting her duties with her son and the responsibilities of Shepherding The Revival Center in the forefront.  But, the Lord has asked her to go forward in these things now, so she will prayerfully consider what is next.  Please keep her in prayer as she will be making decisions that will affect so many.

Ministry News and Opportunities

 Sandi has taken 2008 off from traveling on any speaking tours in order to care for her son.  She will begin travel again in May, 2009 in anticipation of Donny’s strength and gaining health, and after the arrival of Martin and Sandi’s first grandchild, Abel Martin Jose Reynoso, in the spring.  Please keep her in prayer as she is having to choose where to go and not go during the 2009 calendar year, which is filling up fast and requiring her attention already!

The Christmas Story

The youth are wrapping gifts for needy children on Saturday, Dec. 20.  If you would like to donate a gift for a boy or girl of any age, bring it to the RC, unwrapped, this Wednesday or Friday.

Missions Team Heading for South Africa

A team is raising funds and making preparations to serve among the poorest of the poor in South Africa this coming summer.  It will be a spiritual, emotional, and physical challenge for them as they minister to people living in garbage dumps who need to hear the Good News that Jesus loves them.  Keep them in your prayers.
